Queen Rania presents Ban Ki-moon with the 18 million names who have signed for 1GOAL

At the United Nations MDG Summit in New York today, Her Majesty Queen Rania, a 1GOAL Co-Chair, and Nthabiseng Tshabalala (1GOAL Youth Ambassador) presented a plaque representing the 18 million supporters such as yourself, who have signed their support for 1GOAL: Education for All.





New figures released for out-of-school children

New figures were released last week by the Education for All Global Monitoring Report (GMR) team in preparation for the United Nations MDG Summit. These figures adjusted the global figure for the total current out of school children 72 million down to 69 million.


Despite these seemingly encouraging figures, we know that rate of progress...






Australia pledges an increase in Education Aid

As we speak, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is working on a plan for the upcoming Millennium Development Goals summit that will determine it’s focus and how ambitious the proposals will be.  To make real progress on education, this Summit Outcome Document must get it right, and that is where you come in.
